Restaurant Fish Market

Leó Ólafsson och hans flickvän Ólöf Rún Sigurðardóttir besöker 10 trendiga restauranger i Reykjavik. Först ut är Fiskmarkaðurinn eller Restaurang Fish Market.
Restaurant Fish Market

Fish market in Reykjavik is one of the places to go if you want good asian fusion with Icelandic ingredients housed in one of the central Reykjavík’s oldest buildings. The cocktails is an asian tropical fusion and a twist on classic cocktails.

Fish Market is a restaurant in two floors and the kitchen is on the bottom floor. Here you can watch each dish being prepared in the open kitchen, which has the country’s only robata grill, or sit at the raw bar where the chefs create exotic dishes.

The decorations are composed by wood, moss, and stonewalls. This gives a Icelandic vibe too it like a fancy fish market, an enhancing the name. The atmosphere was lively warm and crowded, we went on a Friday so it‘s obviously very busy on the weekends.

The setup we went for was two cocktails, one sour and one sweet. Nine course seasonal surprise menu with Iceland’s freshest ingredients.
